Welcome to Tipperary Motor Speedway - the home of short circuit motorsport. The raceway is the only purpose built oval circuit complex in Ireland.  Set in the rolling countryside of County Tipperary, this unique facility boasts an international standard tarmac oval race track that attracts the best drivers from all over Europe as well as nurturing a thriving Irish motorsport scene. Race meetings take place fortnightly, plus major international events through the year.

How to find us:
The raceway is conveniently located in the heart of Southern Ireland, just five minutes off the main N8 Dublin-Cork road near the village of Rosegreen. It is midway between the busy towns of Cashel, Clonmel and Cahir where there is plenty of good hotel and bed & breakfast accomodation available.

Here is a guide to some of the formulae racing throughout the season:

2.0L HOT RODS
Unique to Tipperary and a great training ground for future National drivers. Resembling externally National Hot Rods with a steel/semi-space frame body, power comes from a control 2.0L 8V GM/Opel engine with one control camshaft for all.  Racing suspension is allowed, as are National specification wheels & tyres. Exciting racing for up-and-coming drivers.

2.0L LIGHTNING RODS
Inexpensive yet very entertaining, the Lightning Rods are all 2 litre Ford Sierras pretty closely related to their road-going cousins, but stripped out for racing. Minor suspension tweaking is allowed but few other modifications, in order to keep a tight lid on costs.

1400cc STOCK RODS
An extremely popular and competitive international class, Stock Rods provide edge of the seat excitement.  Production car-based machines, these racers are predominantly the 1400cc Opel Corsa and Toyota Starlet.  As a budget class, only limited modifications and race-engine tuning are permitted, as per the international rule book.

PRODUCTIONS
Smaller brother to the Lightning Rods, similar rules, engine capacity controls ensure this class is populated by Fiat 127s, Unos, VW Polos and the like. A hoot to race & watch screaming around the raceway!

FIESTA RODS
Young racers of the future learn their track-craft in these virtually standard, but strengthened cars. Great to watch as they learn their, & their car’s, limits.  Fun, inexpensive and safe; for 12-16 year-olds.

NATIONAL HOT RODS
NHRPA National Hot Rods can only be seen in Ireland at Tipperary International Raceway. Nationals, with their full race set-ups, tyres and massive power outputs, demand the very best surfaces combined with long wide straights and bends. The season long World Championship Qualifying Series headlines most race meetings here. Tipperary International Raceway is also proud to host international championship events each year, including the prestigious NHRPA European Championships in October, attracting the top drivers from the UK & Europe.  Nationals - the fastest short oval motorsport our side of the Atlantic.  Twenty-plus 235BHP racing machines, in a thundering ¼-mile arena!
